Justin Bieber Brawl Going to Prosecutors
The brawl between singer Justin Bieber and one very irritated paparazzo on Sunday afternoon isn’t going to be swept under the rug by law officials.
Police have put the case in the hands of the L.A. County D.A. for a probably criminal prosecution according to TMZ. However, there’s a conflicting report at MTV News, when a representative from the D.A’s office told MTV that “nothing has been presented yet, but it’s a possibility.” Right now Bieber is wanted for questioning about the scuffle but the singer is said to be promoting his album in Norway and is unavailable for questioning.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesperson Margarito Robles told MTV News “the investigation is ongoing and that there was no update on its progress at press time.” He continued in saying that, “a large percentage of these kinds of cases do get presented to the D.A’s office.”
According to the paparazzo, Justin beat him up on Sunday afternoon in Calabasas, after he was trying to get a photo of Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez. After the altercation happened Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fled the scene. This would make the singer under suspect for committing criminal battery against a photographer and fleeing the scene. Moments after Bieber left, cops reported to the scene and took a statement from the photographer after he was taken by ambulance to a hospital nearby. It was not reported what exactly the unnamed photographer’s injuries were at the scene.
If Justin Bieber is indeed convicted of this charge he could possibly face up to 6 months in jail.Who’s the victim in this scuffle?
