Jessica Biel Talks About Engagement to Justin Timberlake

It was a good weekend for Total Recall’sJessica Biel and Justin Timberlake. The pair celebrated their engagement at a cocktail hour, and up until recently the couple has been pretty quiet about the status of their relationship, but Biel is now more open about her relationship with Timberlake, discussing her feelings about their future.

Jessica Biel spoke about the challenges of embarking on a marriage with Justin Timberlake to French magazine Gala, stating, “I don’t think marriage will change anything.” she continues “I may be wrong, but I just think it will be a challenge to find balance between my private life, family, and work — and I’m ready. For me, getting married does not mean we should be limited to a predefined plan. Rather, it is an opening to explore new things in life.”

The confident actress claims that not only does she not think marriage will change her, but she knows exactly what she wants from her husband-to-be, Justin Timberlake, telling the magazine about the qualities she has looked for, “Three things: the ability to communicate well. This is so important, especially to express his feelings. Then, loyalty. And, finally, honesty.”

The pair celebrated their engagement with a group of family and famous friends including Timbaland, Lance Bass, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi and JC Chasez. Recently the two went public at the Met Gala with their relationship, which they hadn’t done after their brief split in March of 2011. At the Gala the actress revealed her square, cushion-cut diamond engagement ring , which Timberlake designed to have an antique look.

Though Biel is still keeping some secrets to herself about the upcoming summer nuptials, there are rumors circulating that Elie Saab is designing the dress. However, the actress didn’t give away any details, telling the magazine, “If you want to know the truth, I have not yet found the dress.” As far as feeling that baby boom right after the nuptials Biel isn’t sure how she will feel, saying, “I don’t know… I am a person who let things happen naturally. I was told that after [turning] 30, a woman begins to hear the ticking of her biological clock. I have not had that feeling.”
