ABC ’20/20′ Revisits The O.J. Simpson Trial With A Look At Where They Are Now
ABC 20/20 will revisit the O.J. Simpson case, which was dubbed the trial of the century. ABC 20/20 brings viewers a new current topic every Friday night. In recognition of the 20-year anniversary of the O.J. Simpson trial, many television shows have presented documentaries to remember the victims, Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. Just recently, Inquisitr told you about some shocking new tapes of Simpson speaking in his own words about his ex-wife, Nicole. Those tapes were exposed on two different television shows last week. The A&E Network televised O.J. Speaks: The Hidden Tapes and the Lifetime Movie Network (LMN) also did a show entitled The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story.
ABC 20/20 fans can look forward to catching up with some of the major players in the O.J. Simpson trial. Viewers will learn what ever happened to certain members of the Dream Team, such as defense attorney Johnnie Cochran, as well as Kim Kardashian’s father, Robert Kardashian. ABC 20/20 will give an update on Mark Fuhrman, the detective best known for his use of the N-word. Some other key players in the case were Robert Shapiro, the first attorney, before Johnnie Cochran took on the case. Look out for info on Kato Kaelin, Barry Scheck, Alan Dershowitz, prosecutor Marcia Clark, and Denise Brown, the sister of Nichole Brown Simpson.
The LMN special promised to give viewers an inside view of the events that occurred leading up to and after the controversial O.J. Simpson verdict. Never-before seen aspects of Simpson’s personality were also touched on in the segment as he spoke freely before the infamous Bronco chase. It appears that some of this same information will be the basis for the ABC 20/20 episode.
In addition to the many documentaries that have bee released about the Ron Brown-Nichole Brown Simpson Brentwood murders in the last two decades, in May, it was announced that an upcoming TV crime series based on the Simpson case will be made. ABC News reported that American Crime Story: The People vs. O. J. Simpson will come to the FX Network in February of 2016. The crime anthology series is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Color Force, and Ryan Murphy Productions.
For now, don’t forget to tune in for ABC 20/20‘s amazing look back at the O.J. Simpson trial and get ready for an exciting update on where they are now.
