WWE News: WWE Very High On The New Day, Dudley Boyz Set To Bring In Spike Dudley To Help Against Them?
WWE Superstars Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E. have been excelling as teammates in The New Day faction. All three men have played their roles up well in the group and it has come off well to WWE fans. Many people believe that The New Day might be the hottest act in the WWE right now. This may not be far off either. All three men put on excellent tag team performances, and their promos are brilliant. Everything they do works out for them.
When WWE first brought them in, they absolutely sucked. They were babyfaces and it just seemed like it didn’t work. Once they went full heel, the brilliance came about, and has been that way ever since. Not only are the fans big on The New Day, but WWE management is as well. According to Daily Wrestling News, WWE is quite high on the current WWE Tag Team Champions. The idea is that management wants to keep them in the tag team title picture for a while. That does not mean they will hold the WWE Tag Team Titles the entire time however.
Obviously, the plan is to drop the titles to them soon.
WWE officials are said to be enjoying what the group does together. They have especially been pleased with how over they have gotten so far and how they are willing to do whatever is asked of them. Of course, The New Day is a three man group, and The Dudley Boyz need a third person to help them against outside help from people like Xavier Woods.
The three man advantage seems to help New Day a lot, so by eliminating this element, The Dudley Boyz have an easier chance of taking the WWE Tag Team Titles for a tenth time in their careers.
Currently, WWE is planning on a couple of options. El Torito is being rumored to join them, since he is done with Los Matadores. They are actually being repackaged, which is why El Torito is out. The problem is that fans wouldn’t care for this, so this is why WWE has been discussing the idea of bringing back Dudley family member and former WWE Cruiserweight, European, Hardcore, and Tag Team Champion Spike Dudley to help them.
Since obviously Spike and The Dudley Boyz are connected, it makes a ton of sense to bring back the former ECW Original.
There are also some rumors floating around that former TNA Knockout Champion Velvet Sky could join them to work in a Stacy Keibler type of role for The Dudley Boyz. The idea is that, since she and Bubba Ray Dudley are together, it would make sense for her to be around. So it makes sense to have her there. WWE doesn’t even have to acknowledge the relationship. They can also repackage her a bit to fit The Dudley Boyz.
The most likely candidate for the job to help The Dudley Boyz against New Day is Spike Dudley. However, WWE may pull out a surprise to make things a bit more interesting. So we will have to watch and see. What we do know is that it won’t be long to find out, as the third addition is set to be there before WWE Hell in a Cell next month.
