‘Real Housewives Of New York’ 100th Episode Special — What’s The Real Reason Jill Zarin Was A No-Show?
Many fans were disappointed when the Real Housewives of New York 100th Episode Special failed to properly address the epic feud between Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel. Although Frankel was featured heavily by Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen, Zarin was not present to tell her side of the story.
“If you’re going to do a show revisiting the years of the New York ladies, you need to address the epic Bethenny Frankel/Jill fight (sparked by a feud over appearances on other shows), and you need to get more than just Bethenny’s side,” an inside source told New York Daily News.
The source added that Zarin did not understand why the show decided to exclude her from the special.
“It’s unfair and Jill is baffled as to why Andy is holding a grudge. She would have been happy to have been interviewed.”
Despite the insider’s comments, a rep of Zarin told the outlet that the former reality star was not included in the special because she is currently filming for an upcoming movie.
“Unfortunately, she’s working on a movie right now, and the movie studio prohibits her from talking about anything Housewives. She’s actually an actress now! She has a new movie coming out in October,” Zarin’s rep explained.
Zarin’s absence from the Real Housewives of New York special did not prevent Frankel from talking about the feud.
“I was like, ‘Whoa. This is one cunning b***h,'” Frankel explained to Cohen. “It was really clear that she wanted people to hate me, and it completely backfired… Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered, and that’s how it goes.”
Meanwhile, the inside source also stated that one reason why Zarin was not a part of special was because Cohen “naturally chose his friend Bethenny” over Zarin.
“Bravo executives have had very little to do with it,” the source explained. “This is Andy’s baby and it features a lot of Andy and Bethenny.”
Although fans may have been disappointed at the show for not including Zarin, the former member of Real Housewives of New York did post a message to Twitter in response to the special.
“‘Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.’ Helen Keller,” Zarin wrote.
Aside from Frankel, the Real Housewives of New York 100th Episode Special featured a number of current and past cast members, including Kelly Bensimon, Aviva Drescher, LuAnn de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Ramona Singer, Kristen Taekman, and Heather Thomson.
