WWE News: WWE Legend Returns At ‘Night Of Champions’ To Partner With Dean Ambrose And Roman Reigns
For weeks now, rumors have been flying as to who would end up partnering with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns at WWE Night of Champions. It wasn’t really known if it would be someone on the active roster or a legend or a returning superstar, but on Sunday night, the reveal was finally made. As they waited in the ring, the lights went down and the countdown began to introduce Chris Jericho as the partner of Ambrose and Reigns.
The Wyatt Family came to the ring first and stood tall as Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns entered the ring. The lights then went down and the countdown began. As the pyro flashed, the electric jacket stood on stage and then Chris Jericho spun around to reveal himself in the spotlight as WrestleZone recapped.

Chris Jericho walked to the ring to a huge ovation from the crowd in what was a pleasant surprise as the mystery partner. Many thought it would be Baron Corbin from NXT or Erick Rowan or even a special appearance by The Rock.
Rumors really got started earlier in the day on Sunday as it was revealed that Kane had arrived backstage for Night of Champions.
In a bit of a funny moment before Jericho was officially announced as the mystery man, a scary situation was avoided. Reigns and Ambrose were in the ring and it looked like a fan jumped in, but was immediately stopped and grabbed by security before being escorted out.
At that point, Bray Wyatt pointed at the fan and yelled out, “That your guy!?!”
As for the match, things were going back and forth between the two teams, but it got weird at the end. Braun Strowman was speared to the mat by Roman Reigns who looked like he was setting up the big Wyatt Family member for a Superman Punch.
Reigns crouhed in his own corner and all of a sudden, Jericho gave a blind tag to Reigns which shocked him. Jericho hit a Lionsault and then got destroyed by Strowman who hit his finisher and then caused him to pass out with his submission move for the Wyatt win, per Comicbook.com.
After the match, Chris Jericho stared at his partners and then shoulder-checked Dean Ambrose on his way out the ring and then walked off. Seems like WWE is setting up a feud between and Ambrose and Jericho which could make for something even better than the mystery partner at Night of Champions.
