WWE Rumors: Could This WWE Legend Partner With Roman Reigns And Dean Ambrose At ‘Night Of Champions’?
So many rumors are in the air about who will partner with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to take on The Wyatt Family at Sunday’s Night of Champions. Honestly, WWE has done a decent job of keeping the news under wraps and trying to have the minds of fans veer off into different directions so they’re never quite sure who it will be. Now though, a lot of discussion is coming about as to whether or not The Rock could be the mystery partner.
Yes, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Even though hints and rumors are going off in all kinds of different directions, Cageside Seats does state that The Rock is the latest rumored named to be thrown into the pot. They also say not to count on that happening, and that actually seems more believable.
The Rock has a lot going on right now with his hit show Ballers, movie projects all over the place, and another big piece of news that just came about. WWE.com just reported yesterday that The Rock and longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian are indeed expecting a baby.
Still, having a busy schedule has never taken away from The Rock making appearances for WWE and doing some great things here and there.
Seeing as how Roman Reigns is the cousin of The Rock, it wouldn’t be out of the question for him to be the mystery partner. WWE could have made the announcement of the mystery man weeks ago, but have chosen to hold off until the PPV on Sunday.
Why?
Holding onto that kind of information means it had better be a really big deal and someone that is going to bring the house down when his music hits. Don’t let the anticipation build for weeks and then have Erick Rowan walk through the curtain.
Once the crowd heard “IF YOU SMELL-LA-LA-LA,” they would instantly lose their minds. It also would work out because The Rock could make a one-night appearance, help out his cousin and his buddy against the Wyatts, and then disappear again until needed.
That time when he’s needed again is expected to be WrestleMania 32 where he will face either Triple H or Brock Lesnar, as has been rumored for months.
The Rock showing up on Sunday to be the mystery partner of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at Night of Champions isn’t out of the question. It’s not the most probable thing, but WWE does like to keep fans in suspense of big happenings so it’s improbable, but not impossible.
