‘RHOC’ Vicki Gunvalson And Brooks Ayers Break-up — Heather Dubrow Confronts Couple Over Faking Cancer
More doubt has been cast surrounding Vicki Gunvalson’s boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, and his cancer diagnosis. Although Meghan King Edmonds has been leading the charge against Gunvalson, the upcoming episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County features yet another cast member expressing her own doubt about Ayers’ alleged fight with cancer.
According to the promo video released by Star Pulse, Heather Dubrow is the latest to share her concerns that Ayers might be lying. In the video, Dubrow discusses the issue with Gunvalson, and says, “every piece of information that floats out is hanky,” before asking her directly, “Who is lying?”
Although fans will have wait until the episode airs to find out how Vicki Gunvalson responds, she will likely deflect the question to Ayers. Later in the video, when Shannon Beador also brings up the issue, Gunvalson tells her to “Call Brooks…call Brooks!”
Meanwhile, Dubrow isn’t the only one who is questioning the cancer diagnosis. In a recent post on her Bravo blog, Edmonds discusses the issue in detail, and outlines her many reasons for not believing Ayers’ story.
“Once inconsistencies with Brooks and Vicki’s story started adding up and when Vicki got immensely defensive and attacked me for unrelated topics, I began to find The Cancer suspicious,” Edmonds wrote. “At the point in this episode, I did not believe that Brooks had cancer.”
Edmonds went on to cite multiple reasons why she believes Ayers was not diagnosed with cancer.
“He is on a cleanse, and thus far we have seen him drink alcohol (HELLO SUGAR) multiple times. He travels while on chemo. Even Briana said this was not okay. He skipped Shannon’s MD appointment because he got two flat tires,” she explained, adding “This is Brooks’ life! Why didn’t he take an Uber? Or reschedule? Heather even notes that the new MD Brooks is referring to (which Brooks himself told Heather was the same doctor she used in the past) is not an oncologist.”
While Edmonds admits to feeling bad about digging into the issue and not trusting Gunvalson’s word, she states that Ayers’ claims are particularly offensive to her, especially given her past with cancer.
“It is offensive to me that someone (Brooks) is potentially exploiting this platform for the sake of themselves and not the cause,” she stated.
