Britney Spears Walks Off ‘X-Factor’ Set? Star Denies Diva Claims
Newly appointed judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato had their first day of filming on “The X-Factor” yesterday and according to some reports, things were a little dramatic. Britney Spears reportedly walked off the set after a contestant sang one of her songs.
Spears, however, says that the rumors are exaggerated.
“#Britneywalksoff???LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!”
Before they started taping, Spears said that she showed up to the set early and was still waiting for Simon Cowell. Spears said:
“Just arrived for @TheXFactorUSA auditions – hope everyone is ready! Still waiting on @SimonCowell of course….”
The LA Times reports that the incident was overblown. According to a source close to production, Spears and the rest of the judges took a break between singers and Spears was a little late getting back to the set.
Spears missed a singer or two on her first day, but the star tweeted that she was surprised by how much talent they found in Texas. Spears said:
“Texas has a lot of talent – seriously! Loving @TheXFactorUSA auditions so far”
Do you think Britney Spears will be a good X-Factor judge? Paula Abdul, who was fired from the show at the end of last season, said that she wishes Britney and Demi the best of luck on the new show.
Abdul said:
“I think people are anticipating seeing Britney Spears. She’s had a long career and she’s overcome a tremendous amount of adversity, and I am always for the underdog coming back. She’s a big star.”
