‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ Star Lady Gaga ‘Can’t Wait For You To Check Into My Hotel’ [First Look]
Hotel is going to be a bloodier version of the FX horror franchise, American Horror Story, and we are not just referring to Lady Gaga’s blood-drinking The Countess, owner of the Hotel Cortez. Sarah Paulson, who is a familiar face for American Horror Story fans, dropped a few hints about the upcoming season in a newly released First Look trailer.
“I think it’s going to be a very bloody season,” Paulson, who plays Hypodermic Sally in Hotel, says in the behind-the-scenes video released by E! News. “It’s dark. It’s moody. It’s hot!”
As per usual, there are many familiar faces this season on AHS, according to Cinema Blend, including Paulson, Kathy Bates, and Angela Bassett. The rest of the American Horror Story: Hotel cast includes Matt Bomer, Max Greenfeld, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, and, of course, Lady Gaga. Guest stars this season include Lily Rabe, Naomi Campbell, Darren Criss, and Mare Winningham.
In the new video, Bates also opens up about what it is like to sleep in the creepy Hotel Cortez. “This building has a heart as black as the ace of spades—and you’re sleeping in it,” Bates says in the video.
For her part, Lady Gaga is not seen in character too much, but she seems eager to show fans around.
“I can’t wait for you to check into my hotel,” Lady Gaga says in the First Look video, which you can see below.

In another new promo video (see below) for this season of AHS, Lady Gaga is seen in all of her Countess glory, dancing around in beautiful costumes and giving us a small glimpse into what we can expect from the “Applause” singer’s first foray into television.
Although Gaga has remained tight-lipped about her latest role, her fiancé, Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney, told E! News that she is really excited and has been a fan of past seasons.
“She’s a big fan. She’s the one who turned me onto it. I’ve seen a few.”
“Yeah, it’s a bit out there, but I love it,” Kinney said when discussing how wild the show can get. “The performances, the writing, the cinematography on that show—across the board, I think she really wanted to be a part of it, so I’m looking forward to watching. I think everybody will be.”
Fans of American Horror Story should also look for this season to have some ties to past seasons, as well. Catch Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates, and Sarah Paulson when American Horror Story: Hotel premieres October 7 on FX.
