WWE News: Huge Update On Mystery Partner For Roman Reigns And Dean Ambrose At ‘WWE Night Of Champions’

WWE has a big angle going on between Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and The Wyatt Family. The two sides are in something of a family war, and one that is getting people talking big time. The Wyatts brought in a new member, Braun Strowman, a couple weeks back to help them get ahead in their fight against the former Shield brethren.

It was then a two-on-three fight, which was not helpful for Reigns and Ambrose. They tried seeking out a partner in Randy Orton, who was never confirmed to be part of the team. Yet, the Wyatt Family took him out anyway just to be sure. Then Roman’s cousin, Jimmy Uso, was teaming up with them on WWE SmackDown and got taken out, as well. Neither were ever said to be helping Reigns or Ambrose out at WWE Night of Champions , but the mere affiliation was enough for the Wyatts to take anyone out who got close.

There have been a lot of rumors on who the third partner will be for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose as they take on The Wyatt Family this Sunday. According to Cageside Seats , we can rule out at least two possible partners. Orton is unlikely, as the plan is for him to be written out for a bit, even though he’s finishing up house show rounds. Erick Rowan, who makes the most sense due to the Wyatt affiliation, is also not likely, as he is not yet able to return to the ring.

He is set to report to the WWE Performance Center at some point in the next week to see how he is doing before WWE brings him back to shows.

There is also a thought that either Chris Jericho or Kane could be their partner, as both are able to be used at any point. Kane has been ready for some time, and would add the monster element to the group that they need against Strowman. While Jericho is unlikely, WWE might use him as a simple surprise. With his issues with The Wyatt Family already known, it makes a bit of sense to bring him in for help.

However, at the end of the day, it does appear that WWE is trying to put up smoke screens. WWE NXT star Baron Corbin makes more sense than anyone for the spot, but with this potentially being spoiled by online reports , there is a thought that WWE needs to try to make things a surprise. While reports have claimed that the Corbin picture was a fake, it does look as if WWE was trying to figure out a way to introduce an NXT star of some sort in this match. Corbin made the most sense, due to his size and strength, which could hopefully help Reigns and Ambrose.

There are other rumors going around that are unconfirmed as well, with the likes of Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Daniel Bryan, and even as random as CM Punk being the third partner. It does seem that some are red herrings that WWE is putting out in an effort to cover up the true third man. It will be interesting to see who WWE decides to go with.
