WWE News: WWE Hall Of Famer Calls Cesaro ‘Massively Underutilized,’ Says He Would Like To See The ‘Swiss Superman’ Wrestle Brock Lesnar
In today’s WWE, there’s a whole lot of talent that fans believe is being underutilized, but there’s probably no one in WWE who is being underutilized more than former WWE United States and Tag-Team Champion Cesaro, who clearly has the talent to be a main-event level superstar, and, for whatever reason, is stuck in the middle of the card, and has been since WWE brought him in nearly three-and-a-half years ago.
There are several WWE Hall of Famers, such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, who have praised Cesaro’s work during his time in WWE, and think that he could be a huge, main-event level babyface, and now you can add the greatest commentator in the history of professional wrestling — Jim Ross — onto the list of WWE legends who think that WWE should be doing more with the “Swiss Superman.”
On Tuesday, Jim Ross posted a new blog entry on his website, and he talked about how great he feels Cesaro is and that he would like to eventually see him take on former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, which is a match that most WWE fans wouldn’t mind seeing.
“I’m a major fan of Cesaro, and for the life of me, still feel that he is massively underutilized. His in ring work / persona is so strong that he’s a main-eventer waiting to explode. I’d still love to see him some day have a match with Brock Lesnar just for my own old school enjoyment. Cesaro is money, so please cash the check.”
Earlier this year, WWE.com listed the five guys they would like to see take on Brock Lesnar, and Cesaro was on that list. Their reasoning for wanting to see Cesaro vs. Lesnar was based on the fact that, for a brief period of time, Paul Heyman was Cesaro’s advocate.
Of course, you should never say never, but Lesnar vs. Cesaro will likely never happen because WWE doesn’t see Cesaro as a main-eventer, which is unfortunate.
As of right now, Cesaro isn’t scheduled to wrestle on this Sunday’s Night of Champions pay-per-view, but, that could change, as he may end up being Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose’ mystery partner against the Wyatt Family. If Cesaro doesn’t end up being the mystery partner, there’s really no other spot open for him on the show, so, he could very well just be left off of the show.
