ISIS Infiltrating Syrian Refugee Camps? 2 In Every 100 Migrants Are Trained Islamic State Fighters, Lebanese Official Claims
Two in every 100 Syrian refugees entering Europe are ISIS supporters, Lebanese Education Minister Elias Bousaab warns British Prime Minister David Cameron. National security concerns regarding the migrants have surfaced in the United States, as President Obama considers allowing at least 10,000 such refugees onto American soil.
The Lebanese education minister met with Cameron yesterday and discussed the ongoing Syrian migrants issue. Bousaab said that ISIS is sending trained jihadists on “under cover” missions to plan attacks in the West, the Daily Mail reports. Great Britain has agreed to allow 20,000 Syrian refugees into the country. If the estimates by Bousaab are accurate, up to 400 of the individuals could be radicalized members of the Islamic State.
Bousaab also maintains that ISIS leaders chose individuals, including children, from schools and refugee camps before helping smuggle them into Europe through Greece and Turkey. According to the Lebanese government minister, the Islamic State targeting of Syrian migrants poses a threat, which is “growing and mushrooming.”
“My gut feeling is yes they [ISIS] are facilitating such an operation,” Bousaab said. “Yes of course to go to Europe and other places. You may have let’s say two percent [of refugees] that could be radicals. It’s becoming a danger because they are recruiting kids from schools, they are recruiting everywhere. It’s a very dangerous situation and the world should wake up and do something about that. ISIS will not stop at the border with Lebanon, before you know it Isis will be in Europe.”
The British Prime Minister was also told by Bousaab that the Syrian refugees are not “organized enough” to figure out how to cross into Europe without help. He also said some of the migrants arrive wearing unified clothing, such as vests or full uniforms of some type.
The ISIS infiltration warning comes on the heels of Cameron visiting Syrian refugee camps to see how the millions of dollars in aid money is being spent. Despite the dire ISIS terror attack warnings, the British Prime Minister encouraged other countries to “step up to the plate” and give more aid. He noted that Great Britain has given “ten times” as much money to the refugee camps as some other countries.
“When the Lebanese army were kidnapped in Lebanon, the people who kidnapped them came out of the camps,” the Lebanese officials say, according to a report in the Independent. “They kidnapped the soldiers and they took them to the mountains.”
Do you think accepting Syrian refugees into the United States poses a national security risk? Do you trust the federal government to properly screen every migrant who is allowed into America?
