Robert Pattinson Doesn’t Want To Discuss FKA Twigs Romance, Opens Up About The Impact Of Fame

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs may have found themselves at the center of split rumors just last week, but that doesn’t mean Pattinson is keen on discussing the personal details of his relationship.

While it’s no secret that Pattinson and Twigs’ romance has been under fire since they first ignited dating rumors in September 2014, the actor is now opening up about how fame and Internet trolls have impacted his personal life.

In an interview with the Observer to promote his new film, Life, Pattinson draws comparisons between his role as a photographer in the film and his own experience with being a celebrity.

In Life, Pattinson portrays a photographer who has been invited to capture moments of James Dean’s private life, Refinery29 reveals.

When asked about his feelings regarding having a photographer follow him around constantly, Pattinson instantly shuts down the idea by explaining that he wouldn’t want his family to get caught up in the hype.

“The idea of taking a photographer back to my family’s house…it’s just insane!” the actor explains to the publication.

“It’s not really even to do with the photographs, it might be nice to have a really good photographer do it, but it’s bringing your family into the public domain and then having to have them deal with this horrible cacophony of demons who live on the internet.”

Pattinson continues, “That’s really ruined a lot of things, internet trolls, because no one wants to put themselves out there. Even if you can ignore it, and I don’t think anyone can really ignore it.”

Pattinson then goes on to explain how his time in the spotlight has affected his family, before seemingly commenting on the backlash facing his rumored fiancée regarding their growing relationship.

“With my sisters, you just bring people into something they have not asked to be a part of,” he reveals, “It’s impossible for you to stop it afterwards.”

Pattinson explains, “All you can say is: ‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry for bringing this darkness into your life. And also you don’t get anything out of it, either.’ It’s just nothing but bad, yeah.”

When asked to comment on the rumors surrounding his ongoing relationship with FKA Twigs, Pattinson declines to open up about the romance.

“I’ve just found if you never talk about stuff, it’s better,” Pattinson responds, “But thank you.”
