‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 12 Premiere Spoilers Tease Big Things For Meredith And Bailey
Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 is quickly approaching. The premiere will air on ABC later this month, and fans are now being given even more inside scoops on the big Season 12 premiere. This season will be the first without Derek Shepherd, and that has fans wondering how the series will do without him at the hospital.
ABC has released the latest details and new photos for Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 1 titled “Sledgehammer” this week. Spoiler TV shared the premiere photos and details released for the episode from ABC.
The episode will focus on Meredith’s new living arrangement with Amelia and Maggie. The three women will have moved into the house that belonged to Meredith’s mother. It is not clear what happened to the home that Derek built Meredith. Fans will need to tune in to find out.
During the Season 12 premiere, fans will see the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital fight “to save the lives of two young girls whose powerful story will force some of the doctors to revisit the effects of bullying on their own pasts.”
The photos for the episode show a worried mother and an injured teenager. Grey’s Anatomy has always tried to pull in stories for their medical cases that are fresh and topical from the media. Bullying in schools has been a hot button topic in recent months.
As for Bailey, she is working toward becoming Chief of Surgery, but she will have competition. Entertainment Weekly reported that Joey Lauren Adams will join the series in the premiere as Bailey’s competition for the Chief of Surgery position. She is featured in one of the episode photos. Bailey will not be happy if an outsider takes the position she feels is rightfully hers after all the years she has spent at the hospital.
The cast is still busy on the set filming new episodes, and Caterina Scorsone revealed on her Twitter on Friday that the cast is at work on the 250th episode for the series.

It is clear that this cast enjoys working together, and they enjoy bringing new stories to the fans each and every season.
How will Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 feel without Patrick Dempsey? Could it lead to a return by Sandra Oh? There are rumors that she will bring back Cristina Yang this season, but right now nothing new has been said by Sandra Oh or Shonda Rhimes that confirms all the speculation.
Grey’s Anatomy will return to ABC on September 27.
