‘Hart of Dixie’s Jaime King Talks Post Baby Weightloss And Taylor Swift
Hart of Dixie actress and model Jaime King stepped out on Friday for the first time following the birth of her second son, James Knight. According to E! Online, the 36-year-old attended New York Fashion Week where she showed off her post baby body at the Jason Wu fashion show while there to support her designer friend.
“And the morning was dedicated to my dear friend and f-ing brilliant designer @jasonwu – who always shows is what the new American icon designer is made of. I love you and you always inspire me. #nyfw,” she shared on Instargram.
King spoke about her post baby weightloss after giving birth to James on July 16. “I think genetics is part of it,” she explained. “And I think being a mom of a 22-month-old and a 7-week-old, you’re just consistently running around chasing after your child and you never even have a minute to just stop. I think that’s a really big thing—my participating in my children’s lives.”
King also spoke about her relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, who is the godmother of little James Knight. The ladies became friends years ago “naturally,” King explained.
“I think we’re trying to—not even trying to—I think it naturally happened. Where a group of women became friends from all different walks of life or different parts of entertainment, where we just naturally support each other.” Adding, “We all have a very feminist belief that it’s all equality. It’s equality for every race, breed, color, situation, circumstance, gender…for everything. And there’s no competition because all it is is yourself. Are you doing your excellence within yourself?”
Jaime King is known best for her role as Lemon Breeland in CW’s Hart of Dixie where she starred opposite Rachel Bilson and Scott Porter. The series recently came to an end on the green network after running for four seasons. King previously starred in Gary Unmarried and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She has an upcoming role in Barely Lethal as Analyst Knight.
Earlier this summer following the cancellation of Hart of Dixie, King shared that she plans to work on music.
