Michael Jackson Update: Brother Jermaine Buys Late King Of Pop An Enormous Diamond Ring
Michael Jackson’s four brothers, once part of the phenomenal Jackson 5, are on a worldwide tour, but they recently appeared on Good Day Britain where Jermaine Jackson had a special treat for his brothers, including the late King of Pop.
Express reports that Jermaine, along with brothers Tito, Jackie, and Marlon, stopped by Good Day Britain to speak about their world tour, but Jermaine had a surprise in store. One by one, he took out four diamond rings, one for himself and the other rings for his brothers. As the brothers admired their new five-carat rings, Jermaine had one more surprise: a fifth ring for their superstar brother, Michael Jackson.
Yet, since Michael obviously cannot wear the ring, Jermaine said that it would probably go to his mother so that Michael’s son Prince can wear it one day.
“This is our 50th anniversary and there is a surprise I have for the brothers which I wanted to present to them. This is 50 years of being in the business. There is one for Michael… I will probably give it to my mother to make sure that Prince has it.”
One of the reasons the Jackson brothers embarked on a worldwide tour is to celebrate the King of Pop and all that he accomplished during his life. Jermaine felt that Michael, although no longer with us, should be included in the tour with a commemorative ring.
Jermaine also took time out to acknowledge the Queen of England, Elizabeth II, who recently celebrated being the longest-serving monarch, breaking her great-grandmother’s record, Queen Victoria, who served for 63 years and seven months.
The Jacksons take to the stage tomorrow evening at London’s Hyde Park, but their worldwide tour also includes numerous North American concerts. Tickets are currently on sale.
Meanwhile, another Jackson is making headlines. Janet Jackson, 49, the youngest sibling of the Jackson clan, is set to release her first album in more than six years. Her latest album, Unbreakable, will be released on October 2, and features a song that she wrote about big brother Michael Jackson. This is first time she’s had a chance to open up musically about her brother since his death in 2009.
