Jeremy Calvert And Leah Messer Divorce Details Revealed! Plus, Corey Simms Remains Concerned About Possible Drug Use
Jeremy Calvert and Leah Messer officially confirmed their separation on last night’s new episode of Teen Mom 2. During the show, Messer spoke of her impending divorce from Jeremy Calvert, claiming he would be keeping their West Virginia home, while she would receive custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Adalynn, and receive $1,700 per month in child support.
Also during the episode, as reported by Us Weekly on September 10, Jeremy Calvert’s now-ex-wife, Messer, entered a treatment facility for issues of depression and anxiety. The previous episode, Messer had left for treatment as well, but returned after her mother claimed her first husband, Corey Simms, may attempt to gain custody of their 5-year-old twins, Ali and Aleeah, while she was gone.
As the episode continued, Simms met with his lawyer, expressing his concern in Messer’s issues.
“That’s the issue: She’s made it aware that she has a problem, she’s willing to go to rehab or therapy, then all of a sudden, she comes back and she still has the problem, so I don’t feel comfortable giving my kids to somebody who has a problem that I don’t know what it is. It’s obviously best for Leah to get help, but I want to make sure the girls got all the stuff they need from here on out. I want her better for the kids’ sake.”
Jeremy Calvert’s ex has been struggling with her alleged issues of depression and anxiety since Teen Mom 2 Season 6 began, but many have claimed the issues actually stem from her reported addiction to prescription pills. Last month, OK! Magazine suspected Jeremy Calvert’s divorce from the mother of three may have been prompted by her alleged addiction issues. At the time, however, Jeremy Calvert told Messer his main issue was money.
“That’s not my problem anymore. You’re blowing through money like f—king water. I’m filing for divorce. I’m not f—king around this time,” Jeremy Calvert told his ex, who later admitted to having a “spending problem.”
In a separate scene, Jeremy Calvert spoke of Messer’s possible prescription pill abuse.
“Too many issues stressing me out. She takes prescription pills for her anxiety. I don’t know if that sh—t f—ks with her or what. It’s obvious she has an addiction issue. I’m just done. She has no f—king goals. I don’t know what happened to the girl I fell in love with.”
