‘RHOC’ Star Vicki Gunvalson And Brooks Ayers’ Break-Up — Former Couple Still Talking, Will They Reconcile?

Much has been made of the relationship between Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson and her boyfriend Brooks Ayers. Now that their split is official, is it possible the couple might get back together at some point in the near future?

According to Radar Online, an inside source recently revealed “the breakup with Brooks is still really, really hard on her.” Despite the hardships, the two are still talking with each other, which definitely opens up the possibility of some kind of reconciliation down the road.

“They still communicate with each other and it is really hard on the both of them,” the source added. “But they know in their hearts that this separation needed to happen.”

Meanwhile, Gunvalson has been through a lot this past season of the reality show, including the death of her mother and the accusations that Ayers is lying about his recent diagnosis and fight with cancer.

“Vicki has told her friends that the death of her mother and the split with Brooks are the hardest things she has ever gone through,” said the source. “The fact that they both happened in the same year makes it that much worse for her.”

Vicki Gunvalson’s main adversary in this season of the Real Housewives of Orange County has been Meghan King Edmonds. Along with the two getting into arguments about money, relationships, and child rearing, Edmond’s main issue with Gunvalson is her accusation that Ayers actually does not have cancer.

With the feud between the ladies being featured heavily this season, Gunvalson has apparently found it difficult to deal with it all, especially in front of an audience.

“Vicki has had to unfortunately deal with these two really horrible things in her life happening in front of the cameras and that has made it even tougher on her,” the insider revealed. “Vicki has really thick skin though and she is not going to let anyone bring her down for long!”

At the same time, it is also clear that part of the reason Gunvalson and Ayers broke up was over the issue of his cancer. In fact, the source continued to say that this was one contributing factor as to why the two decided to separate.

“The way things were going on towards the end with how others were reacting to his battle with cancer just put an incredibly difficult strain on their relationship towards the end,” the source stated.
