In a speech delivered to the National Press Club, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal unloaded on Donald Trump, saying that Trump is an “egomaniacal madman.”
It may be very early in the election cycle, but the gloves are coming off as things heat up in the Republican camp. Trump has drawn ire for insulting Carly Fiorina’s appearance, and Ben Carson and Trump got into a little bit of a slap fight over the subjects of faith and abortion Wednesday.
If Trump getting into a dustup with Carson over abortion seems a little odd, well, it is. Both candidates were pro-choice abortion supporters in the past, so it’s unclear why Trump would take a poke at Carson over the issue.
But the past is the past, and Bobby Jindal wants you to know that the Donald is a dangerous “madman” right here and now.
In addition to calling Trump a “madman,” the Huffington Post reports that Jindal also called him a, “non-serious carnival act,” and questioned his sincerity altogether.
“Donald Trump is for Donald Trump. He believes in nothing other than himself. He’s not a liberal, he’s not a moderate, and he’s not a conservative. He’s not a Republican, Democrat or independent. He’s not for anything or against anything. Issues and policies and ideals are not important to him. He’s for Donald.”
Speaking of slap fights, Donald Trump, in true “madman” fashion, took to Twitter to let everyone know that he doesn’t know Bobby Jindal, and that he doesn’t “respond to people that register” less than 1 percent in polls.
…. I only respond to people that register more than 1% in the polls. I never thought he had a chance and I’ve been proven right.

It’s true that Jindal has polled at or below the 1 percent mark, according to ABC News . At the same time, Trump’s popularity has soared. But isn’t responding to someone to tell them you won’t respond to them kind of something a madman would do?
So maybe Jindal has a point, or maybe it’s all just an attempt to get his name in the headlines and break through that stubborn 1 percent wall. Either way, it makes for entertaining Twittering.
. @realdonaldtrump We have met. You wrote a check. A fool & his money are soon parted. A fool & his dad’s money are parted sooner.

So maybe Trump is a “madman,” and maybe he’s just an “entertaining narcissist.” But according to a video posted by Jindal, the Donald may or may not also love lamp.
No one loves Donald Trump like Donald Trump loves Donald Trump. https://t.co/MbjI6bSGkZ https://t.co/I71ogyCjU7

Whether or not Trump is a madman, there sure does seem to be a lot of love in his heart. And all you need is love. And a border fence. And maybe also lamp.
