Kaitlyn Bristowe, Shawn Booth Update: ‘Bachelorette’ Couple Tackles Fishing Adventure

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth have been inseparable since their season finale of The Bachelorette this past spring. They’ve been in Canada, where Kaitlyn is from, for some time now, and from the looks of things, they just wrapped up an interesting adventure. What’s the latest from Kaitlyn and Shawn?

Shawn and Kaitlyn’s Bachelorette season finale aired on July 27, and the couple has seemingly been together ever since. After a whirlwind media tour, the two headed to Canada, and it seems they’re having plenty of fun. They’ve been sharing pictures from photo shoots, casual dates, workouts, and family time, but their latest was a different type of adventure.

The Bachelorette couple tackled a fishing trip, and it seems they had a blast. It looks like they went on what was likely a promotional trip for West Coast Fishing Club, and they just wrapped up the excursion.

Kaitlyn joked, “Just because we aren’t good at fishing doesn’t mean we don’t love it,” adding that it “was one of the best life experiences we’ve had.”

Shawn shared a picture of their catches, joking that “I heard the gentleman thing to do is always let the girl catch the bigger fish,” adding that Haida Gwaii, where they were fishing, is “hands down one of the best places on earth.”

Bachelorette fans probably wouldn’t peg either Kaitlyn or Shawn as big fishing types, but it does look like they fully embraced the outing and had a good time. Ahead of the trip, Kaitlyn tweeted that they’d be in “island mode” and without their phones for three days as they headed off on the fishing trip. Many fans said they’d be missing her Snapchat posts, but it sounds like a few days away was a great opportunity for the new couple.

What comes next for Bristowe and Booth? Many expected Kaitlyn Bristowe to tackle Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars this fall, as she had been rumored to be joining the cast. However, for whatever reason, that didn’t come together. There’s been talk of more travel for Kaitlyn and Shawn, as they are expected to head back to the States and spend some time with his family at some point soon.

In the meantime, it looks like Shawn and Kaitlyn are just embracing some downtime and relationship time.
