‘Bones’ Spoilers: Brennan And Agent Miller ‘Clash,’ And Something Will ‘Redefine Everything’ For Angela And Hodgins

It’s six months later when Bones Season 11 begins, and Booth and Brennan’s new life together is going to be interrupted by Booth’s disappearance. That is where Kim Raver’s character is going to come in, as she is going to be playing FBI Agent Miller in the first two episodes of the season.

While fans know that Booth wouldn’t just suddenly disappear without a good reason, especially after the past 10, going into 11, seasons of Bones, executive producer Michael Peterson described Miller as “sort of the impartial view” as she tries to figure out what happened to TV Guide.

“She doesn’t know what Booth has gotten himself into. Has he done something unlawful, or is he the victim? She doesn’t know and she doesn’t care.”

Because of that attitude of hers, it should be no surprise that Brennan is not exactly going to be her biggest fan. After all, this is her husband who is missing, and the Jeffersonian team (though Brennan may have left that job behind, for now) is used to working with certain FBI agents. To that end, Peterson previewed that Brennan and Raver’s Agent Miller “absolutely clash.”

“We have two strong, intelligent women and we let them go head-to-head. Our people are strictly loyal to Booth, so that puts [Miller] in opposition. But she’s strong enough to take on multiple people.”

While it doesn’t sound like Miller is going to find an ally of sorts in Brennan – though both want to know what happened to Booth, despite their different perspectives on the situation – that may not necessarily be true when it comes to Aubrey. A photo released previously shows the two of them working together, and according to the executive producer, he “is in a place of new power” when Bones Season 11 begins with that time jump.

“With Booth gone for six months, he’s really shown off what an incredible agent he is on his own. He’s taken over Booth’s office. He’s going to have a great little arc with Miller. One of the things she’s going to help us understand is that with all the work that Aubrey has done in the past six months…he’s ambitious. If Booth is the great soldier you want to have on your team, Aubrey is the aspiring general.”

Of course, that leads to the question of what will happen after the case of Booth’s disappearance is wrapped up, which could make for an interesting dynamic between Aubrey and Booth moving forward, since, as Peterson told TVLine, this is going to be wrapped up in the second episode, though the “impact of what happens will carry [them] through” the rest of the season.

In happier Bones Season 11 times, TVLine also posted a photo of Booth, Brennan (holding their new son), and Christine in the kitchen of their home – the same home they had since they never moved.

Peterson explained, “They talked about moving away, but it didn’t quite happen. They’re still in the same house when we open the season.”

As for the other characters, the showrunner also shared that the 10th episode “is going to redefine everything for” Angela and Hodgins, and it will “shake their relationship up in a way [he] wouldn’t want to go near spoiling.”

Remember, as Season 10 ended, Angela and Hodgins had been planning to move to Paris, but she could see he wasn’t ready to leave. She had found his money, too, but there was too much blood on it and hackers would want it, so instead, he instructed her to give it to charities instead since they had enough.

Bones Season 11 premieres Thursday, October 1 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
