‘Real Housewives Of NY’: Heather Thomson Exits, But Bethenny Frankel, Carole Radziwill, And Most RHONY Stars Return?

The Real Housewives Of New York are going through some real changes. And one housewife who’s opening up about her status is Heather Thomson, reported Entertainment Tonight.

At 45, Heather feels it’s time to focus on both her entrepreneurial career and her family. Thomson’s enterprise is Yummie by Heather Thomson, a fashion line that includes shapewear.

“The reality of it that I just can’t do it anymore,” confessed Heather. “I have to focus on the things that are really, really important in my life and that’s my family and my business. While I’m filming the show I also am running a multi-million dollar business, and it takes away a lot of my time from the company.”

So how did Thomson feel about Bethenny Frankel, Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley, Kristen Taekman, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan, the other RHONY reality TV stars? Heather carefully kept her comments general.

“My third year I kind of figured out where I was with the women,” she revealed.

And Thomson feels that the casting is especially clever.

“They don’t match you with normal people you’d gravitate toward — that’s the genius of the casting.. They put you in a situation of people you wouldn’t normally be with… that is interesting to see you react and interact with someone you wouldn’t normally hang out with…. Ramona [Singer] is not someone that I think if we met socially, either of us would gravitate towards one another… we overcame our differences.”

As for which stars will appear on season 8 of Real Housewives Of New York? You actually might see Heather return, because she also didn’t indicate that she would never consider a cameo or other opportunity.

Thomson also commented on Kristen’s situation that involved the revelation that Josh Taekman had an account on the infidelity web site, Ashley Madison.

“What Josh has said is it was a silly thing to do, and he’s so regretful he hurt his family.”

When it comes to reactions from the rest of the cast, Carole Radziwill told Us Weekly that she had the inside scoop on why Heather was leaving.

“She just knew it was time to move on,” explained Carole.

As for the reaction from executive producer Andy Cohen, Thomson said that he was understanding about her desire to focus on her company.

“He knows I have a big business that needs my focus. He’s proud of me and the job that I did on the show. He graciously complimented my integrity, who I am and who I’ve always been,” she said.

So who’s on the cast for season 8? The contracts of the Real Housewives Of New York are being hammered out, according to RealityTea.

Put Bethenny Frankel on the list of almost-finalized cast members. In addition, Radziwill and Luann de Lesseps reportedly are returning. Dorinda Medley is expected to return, while Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan go in the “status unknown” category.
