Heather Thomson Confirms She Is Not Returning To ‘Real Housewives Of New York City:’ ‘I Just Can’t Do It Anymore’

Heather Thomson will not be a part of the upcoming eighth season of The Real Housewives of New York City. After several weeks of speculation regarding the reality future of Heather Thomson, the Yummie creator has confirmed her Bravo exit.

“The reality of it that I just can’t do it anymore,” Heather Thomson explained of her decision to Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday. “I have to focus on the things that are really, really important in my life and that’s my family and my business. While I’m filming the show I also am running a multi-million dollar business, and it takes away a lot of my time from the company.”

Heather Thomson began starring on The Real Housewives of New York City three years ago, and told Entertainment Tonight the seventh season felt like “the end” of her reality television run.

“My third year I kind of figured out where I was with the women. There was a beginning, middle and end for everything, and for me, that was the end. The opportunity, the experience — it was all amazing while it lasted.”

Heather Thomson went on to reveal Bravo doesn’t match the ladies of the cast with women they would normally gravitate to. Instead, alluded Thomson, Bravo challenges the ladies of the cast to intact with types of people who they “wouldn’t normally hang out with.”

“Ramona [Singer] is not someone that I think if we met socially, either of us would gravitate towards one another… we overcame our differences.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Heather Thomson’s exit from the show was first report in July. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that Heather Thomson was leaving The Real Housewives of New York City to focus solely on her family and her business. The source also alleged the drama of the series had taken its toll on Heather Thomson.

“[Heather Thomson] did the show to promote her business and later to be with her best friend, Carole Radziwill, and didn’t expect it to end up with fighting with Bethenny and Sonja [Morgan] and the rest edited out. It is no longer a good fit with where she sees her life going so she is making the choice to walk away.”

Heather Thomson is also said to be planning to expand her Yummie empire into nutrition and health arena.

As for potential cameos on The Real Housewives of New York City, Heather Thomson said she was keeping the “door open.”
