Jimmy Fallon And Elle Fanning Reveal High School Photos [Watch]
Jimmy Fallon loves having young guests on his show. Last Tuesday, the talk show host invited Elle Fanning, the teen star who took Hollywood by storm back in 2011 when she starred as Alice Dainard in J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi blockbuster Super 8. Now 17-years-old, Fanning is gradually making her way to the list of Hollywood’s A-stars and was invited on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon for the first time this past week.
According to the Daily Mail, Fanning was promoting her new movie, About Ray, in which she stars as a teenage transgender boy alongside Hollywood veterans Naomi Watts, Susan Sarandon, and Tate Donovan. The film opens on September 18.
Sometimes it can be easy to forget how young some of these Hollywood celebrities really are. When Jimmy Fallon began talking to Fanning about her high school graduation during the summer, it was a topic that kept the young actress occupied throughout the remainder of the interview.
Wearing a strapless black jumpsuit, the young actress looked as exuberant and vivacious as ever. Already having been hailed as one of the best-dressed new celebrities in Hollywood, Fanning displayed the warmth and maturity of a seasoned pro; she answered Jimmy Fallon’s questions with as much politeness as with a sense of teenage liveliness.
When asked about how different her life was going to be now that that she is a senior, Fanning replied that she and her classmates are very excited at the idea of having the school’s patio to themselves. The young star also confessed to Jimmy Fallon that she could not wait for the Prank Day at her school, that time of the year when seniors come up with an elaborate hoax to fool their younger schoolmates.
The two then went on to talk about photo shoots in high school, something which really got the young star talking. She taught Jimmy Fallon the best way to pose for a senior photo shoot.
“You have to turn you body to the back of the camera, while on a swivel chair, and then look back.”
Jimmy Fallon, as he often does during the show, followed the advice, much to the amusement of the assembled TV audience. Finally, the talk show host produced his own photo from his high school yearbook, also confessing that it took him about a year to grow the thin strand of moustache that could be seen on his face.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Jimmy Fallon later also invited X-Men star Liev Schreiber and French train hero Anthony Sadler, 23, who, along with his two friends, helped thwart a terrorist attack while traveling on a high-speed train bound to Paris last month.
Who would you want to see Jimmy Fallon invite next on his show — Donald Trump, maybe?
