‘RHONY’ Star Kristen Taekman Will Return For Season 8 [Report]
RHONY star Kristen Taekman will reportedly be asked to return for Season 8 due to the drama surrounding her husband Josh’s Ashley Madison scandal. Although the scandal has surely caused heartache for the mother of two, it could also prove to be a positive matter for the RHONY star’s career.
“The rumors that Josh has cheated on [Kristen] could actually save her from getting the axe,” the source told Radar Online on September 8.
“[Kristen] hadn’t allowed marriage troubles to be played out in front of the cameras after her first season on the show. But if [Kristen] would be willing to allow cameras to document the fallout from the scandal, it could save her job.”
According to the report, the RHONY star was expected to lose her role on the show prior to Season 8 because of her lackluster storyline, but now that her husband is in the midst of a major scandal, Bravo is said to be interested in the story she could potentially bring to Season 8.
Although the RHONY star has stayed fairly silent about her husband’s scandal since news of his Ashley Madison account hit the web, a source recently claimed she was embarrassed by her husband’s actions. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the RHONY star has allegedly hired a private investigator to learn more about what her husband may have done behind her back.
“Kristen is extremely embarrassed and upset over thinking [Josh] was having affairs,” a source told People Magazine last week.
“As of now she is being her own P.I. and investigating. She’s looking through phone records and asking him questions. She doesn’t believe him. His story keeps changing.”
Prior to the magazine’s report, a source spoke to E! News, claiming that while the RHONY star’s marriage was assumed to be on the rocks, the couple was actually planning to stay together. The source also claimed the scandal didn’t hold much weight for the RHONY star and her husband, and said they were “shrugging it off.”
Despite the many rumors and reports about the RHONY star’s marriage, her rep claims they remain committed to their relationship.
“I cannot comment on her personal feelings but can say that the two are doing great and the marriage is fine,” the RHONY star’s rep, Siri Garber, explained to People Magazine.
RHONY star Kristen Taekman has yet to speak of her possible return to Bravo.
