Erin Andrews Reportedly Dating Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford
ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews is reportedly robbing the proverbial cradle.
According to US Weekly, Andrews, who took third place on Dancing With the Stars Season 10, and Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, are “getting to know each other,” as the pair have been spotted out and about at numerous events and cozy dinners in NYC.
While Andrews, 34, and Crawford, 26, may not be an official item as of yet, the two most recently hung out together at a Purity Vodka event in New York on May 8 and then attended the premier of Chase’s film What to Expect When You’re Expecting on May 18th.
“Chace likes that she’s independent and already established,” explains an Us Weekly “insider.”
Besides “getting to know” a woman eight years his senior, Chace is preparing for for life after Gossip Girl.
Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald in the show, recently spoke out about the end of the popular television drama which kicks off its sixth and final season this fall.
He said:
”For me, it’s going to be…tough to leave New York City. And it’s definitely an end of an era. It was college for everyone really.”
When pressed to share spoilers Crawford was tight-lipped but did reveal he would mix things up a bit if it were in his control.
”If I got to write the show, it would be a very different thing. I would make Chuck Gossip Girl and I would turn my character into Patrick Bateman from ‘American Psycho’. That would be a weird twist of events.”
As for Erin Andrews, in addition to hosting ESPN’s College GameDay on ESPNU and occasionally contributing to ABC’s Good Morning America, the blonde beauty has also filed a lawsuit against the stalker who videotaped her through a peephole in her hotel room in 2008.
Andrews is seeking $10 million for invasion of privacy, asking $6 million of the West End Marriott where the incident took place and another $4 million from the man who taped her.
The stalker, Michael David Barrett, is currently doing prison time and is scheduled to be released in July, 2012.
