The feud between The Wyatt Family and the pairing of Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns has gone on for a couple of months now. Recently, the Wyatts got a third family member in Braun Strowman , and it almost seems as if he can handle things all on his own. Rumor has it that WWE is going to partner someone with Reigns and Ambrose, but who could it be? Could it actually be a former member of The Wyatt Family?
According to WrestleZone , WWE has already released their five-point preview for next week’s Monday Night Raw . It’s already known that Sting is now set to show up on Monday, but there appears to be much more.
One of the snippets includes a teaser for a partner joining up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to face off with the Wyatts and even things up.
“Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns are two tough fellas. Yet the ever-expanding Wyatt Family seems to have simply overpowered the former Hounds of Justice thanks to the addition of mobile mountain Braun Strowman. The Black Sheep single-handedly tore both Ambrose and Reigns to pieces, which means they’ve got their work cut out for them if they’re ever going to beat back the Wyatts again. Given that their relationship with their former third man is, erm, strained at the moment , will they be able to find an equalizer to level the playing field against The New Face of Fear?”
It’s kind of a given now that Ambrose and Reigns are going to need a partner to even the odds. Rumor has it that Seth Rollins could join back up and reform The Shield , but that is something that probably wouldn’t happen until after Night of Champions .
Obviously, it’s Seth Rollins that WWE is hinting at with the comment of their relationship with their former third member being “strained at the moment.” With the big matches set for Night of Champions , a possible reunion of The Shield won’t happen just yet.
Wrestling Inc. is throwing out the rumor that former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan could return and join up with Ambrose and Reigns.
Rowan suffered a torn bicep in June, and the initial timeframe had him being out at least 4-6 months, and possibly until November at the earliest. Yes, an early return is possible depending on how severe his injury was, but it seems unlikely.
Not only would an early return from injury be surprising for Rowan, but the storyline wouldn’t make sense. Rowan has no real reason to turn on The Wyatt Family , and his last face turn wasn’t really something that was too successful.
No matter what, it appears as if Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are about to get a partner, but don’t expect Erick Rowan or a reunion of The Shield just yet. The Wyatt Family needs to be ready though as someone is coming to help the former Hounds of Justice, and it looks like it will happen on Monday Night Raw .
