Giada De Laurentiis Officially Divorced, Bobby Flay Affair Confirmed?
Giada De Laurentiis is officially divorced. The gorgeous celebrity chef has ended her 12-year marriage to Todd Thompson.
De Laurentiis is now a single woman, but she has a heavy price to pay. According to court documents, the Food Network star has to pay her now ex-husband $9,000 a month in child support. The couple has a seven-year-old daughter, Jade Marie De Laurentiis-Thompson. The couple will continue to share custody of their daughter and neither will receive spousal support, according to a previous report by Entertainment Tonight that was later removed.
As for the couple’s assets, Giada De Laurentiis will retain rights to her Linguine Productions company and her GDL Foods, Inc. brand. Thompson will keep their $3.2 million home in Pacific Palisades, California, and $300,000 in art and decorations.
The couple did not sign a prenup, which means that De Laurentiis will have to give Thompson 50 percent of revenue for her upcoming cookbooks, which are valued at over $5 million. where they will divide their assets and bank accounts worth more than $2 million. De Laurentiis will be able to keep her Porsche and Thomspon gets to keep his as well.
Now that Giada is a free woman, does that mean her affair with Bobby Flay has finally been confirmed? The celebrity chefs have been in the spotlight since they both filed for divorce from their long-term partners. Rumors have been flying that Giada and Bobby were involved in a long-time affair. New reports claim that they were last spotted holding hands while having dinner together. Giada has denied the affair rumors, while Bobby has ignored them.
An inside source told Starcasm that the cooking stars were not only holding hands under the table, but they also carved their initials into the dinner table. Another report on Radar Online claims that De Laurentiis was spotted with a guy at Nobu who looked nothing like Bobby Flay. The alleged insider says that they kissed and hugged at the bar until the early hours of the morning.
“She was wearing jeans and a cute shirt and he was wearing a blue blazer. He was not much taller than she. Had dark hair. They seemed super in love.”
De Laurentiis previously shot down the affair rumors during her interview with Extra. She says that she would rather focus on her daughter, who’s still too young to know about the constant affair rumors following the sexy food star.
“The last year of my life has been a little more tumultuous, and I’ve sort of started a new life on my own with my daughter. Cooking has really sort of redefined my life in a way that truly the moment of inspiration and true happiness is when I’m in the kitchen….[As far as Bobby goes], people are going to write what people are going to write. Luckily, my daughter’s still young enough that I can shelter her a little bit from it all, but I deal with it and I don’t really respond to it, and I move past it. It’s going to be what it’s going to be.”
The Beat Bobby Flay star made headlines for having an alleged affair with both his junior assistant, Elyse Tirrell, and with former Mad Men star January Jones. Meanwhile, the Giada at Home star has been linked to Drake, John Mayer, Matt Lauer, and other famous men while she was married to her husband.
Giada De Laurentiis and Tom Thompson married in May of 2003. The couple announced their shocking split in December 2014, although De Laurentiis revealed that they actually split in July of that same year.
