St. Louis Shooting: 11-Year-Old Kills 16-Year-Old Intruder

Tragedy struck a north St. Louis County community this week when an 11-year-old boy shot and killed a 16-year-old during an attempted home invasion.

The sound of apparent gunfire during the St Louis shooting was reported to police on September 3. Police responded to the scene to find a 16-year-old boy dead inside a home that was not his own.

Early investigations suggest that the boy had attempted to break into the home three times and succeeded on the third try. In the house, an 11-year-old boy was home alone, guarding his younger sister. The investigation suggests that the boy shot the intruder in the head when he attempted to enter the home.

Authorities say there was also a second intruder in the St. Louis house during the shooting. The second suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The second suspect was found shortly after the incident. The second suspect fled from the scene after the sound of gunfire was heard. The police have not identified the suspect, and the 11-year-old boy’s mother was not at home during the incident.

The police say that the young boy fired only one shot at the deceased suspect. He used a handgun that his mother had purchased after the family experienced a number of previously attempted break-ins.

Neither the young boy nor his 4-year-old sister were injured in the St. Louis shooting, which occurred just before 2 p.m. on Thursday. Police arrived shortly after and discovered the body of the 16-year-old suspect in the front foyer of the home in St. Louis.

Conflicting witness statements have surfaced since the incident occurred. One woman told reports that the 16-year-old did not enter the house. Instead, she said that the boys were standing on the front porch arguing loudly.

There are many questions surrounding the incident. These questions include why the children were alone or how the child got access to the gun. The mother of the two children is cooperating with the police investigation. This is the third shooting fatality in recent weeks in this area of St. Louis. All three of these incidents involved young people and guns.

Nine-year-old Jamyla Bolden was killed by a bullet while she was working on homework in her grandmother’s bedroom in Ferguson, Missouri, on 18 August. De’Eris Brown, 21, has reportedly confessed to killing the young girl. The girl’s mother was also shot during the incident, which predates the St. Louis shooting.
