‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Episode 2: Expect A Lot More Action, According To Lorenzo James Henrie
Television viewers who tuned into the premiere episode of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead tended to fall into two categories — those who thought the episode was too slow, and those who thought the first episode was just perfect. Those who thought it was a little on the slow side are in for a treat with Episode 2 (entitled “So Close, Yet So Far”) according to one of its stars, Lorenzo James Henrie.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Episode 1 of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead. Please proceed with caution if you have not yet viewed this episode.
Viewers didn’t get to see a lot of Lorenzo James Henrie in the pilot episode. He played Chris, the son of Travis (played by Cliff Curtis), who lives with his mother (and Travis’ ex-wife), Liza. The pilot of Fear The Walking Dead concentrated on Madison’s (Kim Dickens) son, Nick, and his reaction to a sighting of his newly undead friend, Gloria (Lexi Johnson). While everyone else thought it was just a drug induced hallucination, by the end of Episode 1, Travis and Madison had come to understand that it was a whole lot more than just the flu going around L.A.
While Nick has plenty of problems, Chris is also a troubled teen. According to Lorenzo’s recent interview with PopSugar, Chris is trying to deal with his parents divorce and is mostly blaming his father, Travis, for no longer being the superhero he had classified him as before the divorce. As we can see from the trailer video for Episode 2 of Fear The Walking Dead, it seems Travis is trying very hard to reclaim his superhero status with Chris as he protects his family against the oncoming zombie apocalypse.
Here’s an Episode 2, “So Close, Yet So Far,” synopsis.
“While Madison struggles to keep Nick from a crippling withdrawal, Travis ventures out to find his son before the city of Los Angeles falls.”
While a lot of Episode 2 of Fear The Walking Dead will focus on Travis, Liza, and their son, Chris, as the synopsis above points out, there will still be some time spent on the characters we met in Episode 1. But, as Lorenzo James Henrie told PopSugar, there will much more action in Episode 2 of Fear The Walking Dead.
“In the second episode you’re going to see a ton more action. You’re going to possibly see different characters come on board. You’re going to meet new story lines and… there could be, ‘are they going to separate’, you never know. You don’t know [if]the family going to stick together. Are they going to hold it together mentally? Are they going to hold it together morally?”
While we know already that the Salazars will be introduced in Episode 2 of Fear The Walking Dead along with Chris and Liza, it will be very interesting to see just how everyone copes as the world is crumbling around them.
