Drake And Serena Williams’ Relationship: Will The Tennis Star And ‘Energy’ Rapper Last?

Drake and Serena Williams may have raised more than a few eyebrows after the duo were spotted making out following the tennis star’s WTA victory last weekend, but will Drake and Serena’s newly re-kindled relationship last?

According to sources close to Williams, Drake and Serena are heating up their re-kindled romance after calling it quits in 2012.

A source reveals to E! News that “things are heating up with the duo and all of Serena’s friends approve of the pair.”

The source further explains that Drake is “a true gentleman and is very supportive” of Williams’ tennis career and busy schedule.

While Drake and Williams have yet to comment on their budding relationship, the source explains that the duo are doing their best to keep their romance out of the public eye.

“They are both private people when it comes to their personal lives,” the source explains, admitting that “Drake has always had a huge crush on Serena, so he is on cloud nine and will continue to court her as much as he can.”

Williams’ insider further notes that “Drake is very much Serena’s type as well. She is a big fan of him and his music.”

In contrast, TMZ reports that according to their Drake and Serena sources, Williams is keeping her guard up when it comes to giving Drake another shot at a relationship.

Sources explain to the site that while Serena has been into the Canadian rapper ever since they dated in 2011, Drake broke her heart badly “because he had his eyes on a few other chicks at the same time.”

The source continues by saying that while the duo currently have a “good vibe,” Williams’ friends are cautioning her against jumping into things too fast for fear that Drake will break her heart once again.

Despite the claims, a Williams insider tells Daily Mail that the duo are doing the best that they can to spend time together despite Williams’ hectic schedule.

A source close to Serena explains, “publicly she says they’re just friends but Drake has been by Serena’s side throughout the tournament and when they’ve been away from the public and relaxed, it’s pretty obvious that they are together.”

The source continues, “Serena’s team have been talking about it in the clubhouse to a few people they trust. She has been incredibly focused on her title bid. But if she’s had a quiet moment she’s spent it with Drake, even going to watch his Wireless set and having dinners in London.”

Similarly, sources reveal to Page Six that while the duo appears to be dating, Williams and Drake are both too busy to have a serious relationship.

“Serena briefly dated Drake around 2011 and even though it didn’t end that well, they have remained friends ever since. He has been at her side at a lot of tournaments recently, including Wimbledon in July, where he sat in her box next to her sister Venus.”

The source concludes, “Serena is single at the moment and is focused on winning the U.S. Open, and making history.”
