Robert Pattinson Signs Up To Head To Space As Baby Rumors Ignite With FKA Twigs
Robert Pattinson can add another role to his growing list of credits as the Twilight alum has officially signed on to star in an upcoming sci-fi film, written by Zadie Smith. According to Screen Daily, Pattinson will play an astronaut in the space-themed movie, who travels on a mission outside the solar system. The film is directed by Claire Denis.
The movie is being produced by the French production company Alcatraz Film, which recently confirmed Pattinson’s involvement in the movie. “We are very proud and very happy, as is Claire, about what will be a great collaboration,” the company stated. “Robert is committed to the project and we are committed to him.”
The film, which has yet to be titled, is Denis’ debut movie in English. Denis has directed successful films in the past, including the French movie Beau Travail. Her most recent work was a film titled Bastards, released in 2013.
For her part, Smith authored the critically acclaimed and bestselling book, White Teeth. The author will be writing the main screenplay for the movie and will be sharing writing duties with her husband, Nick Laird.
The new role marks what has been a very busy time for Robert Pattinson, who is set to appear in a number of new movies, including the upcoming Anton Corbijn directed film, Life. Pattison will be playing a ’50s photographer named Dennis Stock in the movie, who is tasked with taking photos of James Dean.
In addition to Life, Pattinson will also be playing a role in The Lost City of Z. The film is an adaptation of the novel by James Gray and centers on the story of the British explorer Colonel Percy Fawcett, who mysteriously went missing after searching for the legendary city in the Amazon. The movie is being produced by Brad Pitt and will also star Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam.
As if he didn’t have enough on his plate, Pattinson is also getting ready for an upcoming wedding with his fiancée FKA Twigs. Although the official wedding date has yet to be announced, many have speculated that the couple might be wanting to have children soon. Some outlets have even went as far as reporting that Twigs desires to have children as soon as possible, even before the two exchange vows.
However, despite these rumors, Gossip Cop is reporting that the couple has zero plans of having children prior to their marriage. In fact, an inside source recently told the website that rumors of Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs planning on having children any time soon are “ridiculous.”
