Sarah Palin Lands Donald Trump Interview This Friday Night — ‘Lamestream Media Asks GOP Personal, Spiritual Gotchas That They’d Never Ask Hillary’
Sarah Palin and Donald Trump have a lot in common when it comes to the way they vocally battled against a perceived liberal bias in media coverage of their respective journeys to the White House. In interview after interview, both have faced rocky soundbites and very public warring with news anchors, which is part of why it will be so fascinating to watch Palin interview Trump on Friday’s On Point on One America News Network.
Sarah posted a rant to her Facebook page to drum up interest for the appearance of Donald on her program, which is almost sure to be a giant success for the relatively small news channel. The unlikely Republican presidential candidate has been setting ratings records across night-time pundit shows.
Palin was prompted to bring Trump on her program partially by a recent interview that Donald gave, where he was asked to name his favorite Bible verse after stating that it was his favorite book. Refusing to pinpoint a specific passage, Trump instead claimed that religion was too personal for him to answer such a question. Sarah wholeheartedly agreed with his sentiment.
“WTH, LAMESTREAM MEDIA! STAY OUT OF MY BIBLE… Lamestream media asks GOP personal, spiritual “gotchas” that they’d NEVER ask Hillary, or they’d feed the question to her and/or liberal cohorts before they asked it on-air (we know how these things work, lapdog media… the public’s on to you), so good on Trump for screwing with the reporter. By the way, even with my reading scripture everyday I wouldn’t want to answer the guy’s question either… it’s none of his business; it IS personal; what the heck does it have to do with serving as commander-in-chief; and these reporters trying to trip up conservatives can go pound sand until they ask the same things of their favored liberal pals. I’ll cover this in my interview with Donald and other candidates tonight.”
Trump was asked the question during a segment on gay rights where the Republican hopeful cited his belief in the Christian faith as the reason for his opposition to gay marriage.
“I wouldn’t want to get into it because to me that’s very personal. You know, when I talk about the Bible it’s very personal…I don’t want to do that…the whole Bible is an incredible book. I always hold up [my memoir] The Art of the Deal and say this is my second favorite book of all time.”
