Charlie Hunnam may be the heartthrob of millions of his followers, but it appears the Sons of Anarchy star has his heart firmly in one place.

According to Movie News Guide , Charlie Hunnam is reportedly set to marry his longtime girlfriend Morgana McNelis , the woman with whom he has been in a rather hushed relationship ever since they met way back in 2007. There have often been reports about Hunnam practicing an almost organic lifestyle with his girlfriend outside of LA, where they live on a ranch, but this is the first time that rumors of an alleged proposal have surfaced in the media.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry , Hunnam shared details about the a recent gift he received .
“She told me she was making me a diamond-encrusted ring — she’s a jewelry designer, not an actor — and I was like, ‘Uh oh. This is not going to go well for me.’ But I love it. It’s so discreet and beautiful.”
During another interview a year later, Charlie Hunnam was more willing to talk about their organic lifestyle, discussing details about what prompted them to live away from the razzmatazz of Hollywood, reports SF Gate.
“I don’t go to parties – I don’t shuck and jive it up with the Hollywood crowd. None of that crap interests me at all, and actually, my girlfriend and I just bought a ranch, so we are getting out of Hollywood completely. It’s in California. We’ve got 30 chickens and a couple of donkeys, a couple of ducks and we’ve got a big, organic garden. We are going to try to live a bit more sustainably.”
However, while the expected proposal may well be on its way, the couple are busy dealing with a recent surge of online rumors regarding McNelis’ past. These rumors appear to be completely unfounded, so hopefully the unwarranted media coverage is not ruining what would normally be an exciting time for Charlie Hunnam and his girlfriend.
Luckily, it seems that Charlie Hunnam is unlikely to be phased by any surprises in McNelis’ background, having earlier said in an interview with Hollywood Life that there will always be adjustments they’ll have to make for each other.
“She is required to share certain parts of me with the world that she wouldn’t necessarily choose to do, but we have a great relationship and she loves me and wants to be with me and we’ve been together a long time now, and I think she understands and has come to terms with the fact that there are certain elements of me that she is going to have to share.”
We’ll have to wait and see if Charlie Hunnam really does propose to Morgana in the coming days, but if he does, a lot of hearts will certainly be left in tatters. Hopefully, Charlie Hunnam fans will recognize that, for once, this seems to be a celebrity perfect match.
