Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley Reveal New Daughter’s Name

Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley have revealed the name of their second daughter. Baby Adalaide Marie Hope Kelley is the name of their second adopted daughter to musician Josh Kelley, 32, and romcom actress Katherine Heigl, 33.

Talk about Adalaide Marie Hope’s arrival started at the end of April when a rep for the couple confirmed, “Yes, they have adopted.” At the time there was no reveal of Adalaide’s name, letting the couple settle down with their child instead of rushing into specifics. However, it was also said that Adalaide was adopted in Louisiana unlike big sister Naleigh, who was an international adoption from South Korea.

Katherine Heigl told Scholastic Parent & Child in February about how important it was to adopt a child and the likelihood of her adopting again. “We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first. I just wanted to be a mom. So however we did that, it’s fine with me. I’d like to adopt again.”

The first public acknowledgement of their second daughter came from Kelley, who tweeted a picture of the breakfast he made for Katherine, tweeting, “HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! Hope you dudes out there take care of your ladies. No skimping…” The photo‘s caption of the breakfast displayed, “the breakfast I made the mother of my children this morning.”

The new addition joins older sister Nancy Leigh “Naleigh” Kelley, 3 1/2, whom Kelley and Heigl adopted back in 2009 from South Korea, while Heigl was taking a break from her longtime Grey’s stint while shooting Life As We Know It.
