‘Dancing With The Stars’ Update: Hayes Grier Officially Joins The Cast, But Who Is He?

The Dancing with the Stars celebrity cast is growing each day as sneaky announcements are being made via Twitter by the ABC show. The next star that was just revealed on Thursday morning by the official DWTS Twitter account is Hayes Grier. Never heard of this guy before? Well, unless you are a teen or younger, he may just be a no-name celebrity to you. Of course, that will very well change once he gets out on the ballroom floor next month.

Grier is a Vine star, and at only 14-years-old, he may just surprise many watchers with his dancing skills. He is heavily into social media and has developed millions of followers on his Vine account, as well as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Hayes has taken to social media to make this all-important announcement that he will be joining the lineup on Dancing with the Stars for Season 21. He also admitted that his first rehearsal begins today.

This seems like a fun way to reveal this new cast. There have been already been three other names that have been officially revealed by ABC so far. Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza, and Nick Carter are shining up their dance shoes getting ready to see what kind of moves they have.

One name that seems to have been revealed is Paula Deen. Many news sources, including E! News, have announced that the cooking queen is all set to dance as well. It is going around the internet and social media. Of course, many negative reactions have been made about her coming aboard. However, ABC has not released Paula Deen’s name yet as one of the stars that will be eyeing the mirror-ball trophy. So, it is not totally official until DWTS sends out their tweet just like this one.

Even though most people may not know who Hayes Grier is, being on Dancing with the Stars can sometimes make someone like him into a household name. Not many people knew who YouTube star Bethany Mota was until she put on her dancing shoes on in Season 19. She made it all the way to the finale with pro partner Derek Hough. Hayes Grier may just do the same thing as well.

Grier is the second youngest contestant to ever dance on the show. Willow Shields of Hunger Games fame was only 14-years-old when she joined DWTS last season.
