Is ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Star Charlie Hunnam Finally Ready To Walk Down The Aisle With Longtime Love Morgana McNelis?
Charlie Hunnam has managed to keep the details concerning his personal life fairly secret over the years. In particular, the Sons of Anarchy star has kept the lid tight on his longtime relationship with Morgana McNelis. However, recent news has changed that, with Celeb Dirty Laundry reporting that Hunnam and his girlfriend might be finally headed for engagement.
The outlet is reporting that Hunnam’s relationship with McNelis is as strong as it has ever been. An inside source close to the couple stated that Hunnam is preparing to propose.
The news comes after it was made known that McNelis was arrested back in 2009 for illegal marijuana activities. McNelis spent a whole two days behind bars, was sentenced to three years of probation, and had to pay numerous fines and legal fees.
Meanwhile, in addition to a possible wedding in his future, Hunnam has been keeping plenty busy in the film industry. In fact, the actor is currently filming for Guy Ritchie’s upcoming movie, Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, where Hunnam plays a unique version of the legendary king.
“He’s a little bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor. He’s a hustler,” Hunnam told Movie News Guide in regards to his role as King Arthur.
At the same time, there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the idea of Kurt Sutter making a prequel to his hit biker drama, Sons of Anarchy. With Sutter confirming that a prequel is in the works, which will focus on the original nine members of the biker gang, many are still wondering if Hunnam will be a part of it.
“Charlie really wants to come and do, like, a little arc but, he’s sort of booked solid for the next three years, so I don’t know if that’ll happen,” Sutter revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Although it doesn’t seem as though Hunnam will find the time to play a part in the prequel, Sutter also talked about Hunnam guest starring in his newest series, The Bastard Executioner.
Despite Hunnam’s busy schedule, which might soon include a wedding with McNelis, Sutter did reveal that he is in talks with Hunnam about playing a part in the medieval drama. Whether it is a part in The Bastard Executioner or a prequel to SOA — which is tentatively titled The First 9 — it will be good to see Sutter and Hunnam working together again.
Charlie Hunnam is currently in Belfast filming The Lost City of Z with Twilight star Robert Pattinson and the new Spider-Man, Tom Holland.
