Penises & Puns Make Shopping At IKEA An Adventure [Video]
A guy in Denmark got a suspended sentence after he was caught doodling penises all over an IKEA store with one of those free pencils they give you. Another guy annoyed his girlfriend no end by coming up with endless, corny puns as they navigated one of the labyrinthine stores.
A 31-year-old man from Aalborg in Denmark was apparently bored when strolling the endless displays in the local IKEA. He picked up one of IKEA’s free pencils and went about doodling around 30 penises all over the walls and display furniture in the store.
According to the Local, when the unnamed man was followed and caught by security staff in the IKEA store, he denied that he had made all the drawings.
He said that someone else had done it first and inspired him, so he continued their crude art.

Berlingske News Bureau quoted Rikke Poulsen from the North Jutland police as saying: “He drew up to 30 penises on walls and shelves around the warehouse.”
“The man has admitted to being behind these drawings, but not as many as 30. He has no prior convictions and he has explained that he did it because he had seen similar drawings in IKEA.”
“He has regretted his actions, but that doesn’t change the fact that he has still committed vandalism.”

The amateur artist received a 20-day suspended sentence for the offence and, according to the Mirror Online, IKEA has not commented on the incident.

The other IKEA story involves a man who, judging by his accent, is from either New Zealand or Australia (with apologies to the incorrectly quoted country). Simon Gilmore picked up on all those weird Swedish names that IKEA gives its products and annoyed his girlfriend no end by making up puns for every product they passed on their winding route through the huge store.
Apparently Gilmore and his girlfriend Dana have recently moved in together and went to IKEA to stock up on the necessary furniture and equipment for their new home. Dana no doubt regretted the decision no end.
He said in the description on the YouTube video, “We moved in together recently so had to make the unavoidable trip to IKEA; I figured out how to get through there as quickly as possible.”
