Wife Accuses Ronda Rousey Of Dating UFC Fighter Husband With Domestic Violence Investigation Pending
Ronda Rousey has become a symbol of female empowerment across the globe. This weekend, she was accused of almost advocating the opposite.
Zane Simon of Bloody Elbow uncovered some under-the-radar tweets from this weekend from UFC Fighter Travis Browne’s wife. The tweets seem to allege that UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey has an ongoing relationship with Browne, all while he’s being investigated for domestic abuse.
@noochsig I'm pretty disgusted…more so in her. But I've known this for a while.

@noochsig let's hope it doesn't go there but if it does she chose to be w/ a married man undergoing investigation for DV. I did my part.

It’s worth noting that Rousey is notoriously private about her personal life when it comes to dating, so this should be taken with a grain of salt. Browne hasn’t spoken out publicly regarding a relationship between the two either.
Browne’s wife, Jenna Renee Webb, took to Instagram this summer, accusing the fighter of domestic violence. She posted photos of bruises on her arms, face and legs, and mentioned that she had decided to “walk away” before confirming her accusation that Browne was responsible.

Browne was indefinitely suspended by the UFC following the post, and subsequently removed from all International Fight Week events. Information around the situation has been slow in the past six weeks, until Webb’s claims this weekend.
Webb claimed that she knew of the situation between Rousey and Browne for quite some time, and said that eventually Rousey “would see his true colors as well.” She seemed to be offering a warning more than anything, and actually wished them both luck. Well, initially at least.
Webb then referenced Rousey’s “DNB” shirts, which are being used as a promotional tool for the fighter. A portion of the proceeds of the shirt sales are going to Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services. Rousey’s “DNB” term is in reference to a woman who uses her body in the right ways, as opposed to sleeping her way to the top. Sales of the shirt exploded, reaching well over 56,000 before the sale ended.
“There’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose, because I’m not a Do Nothing B—,” Rousey said during an episode of UFC Embedded.
While Browne is currently still suspended, Ronda Rousey is slated to headline UFC 195 in a championship title defense against the undefeated Holly Holm.
