‘Teen Mom’ Stars Catelynn Lowell And Tyler Baltierra Finally Tie The Knot
Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have officially married, five years after Baltierra’s sweet proposal to Lowell. The couple tied the knot on Saturday, August 22, with 154 family and friends in attendance. Catelynn and Tyler’s wedding was Renaissance-themed and was held at Castle Farms in Michigan, MTV reported. Their 8-month-old daughter, Novalee, was their flower girl.
Catelynn and Tyler’s firstborn daughter, Carly, attended the wedding with her adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa, according to Us Weekly.
Lowell and Baltierra’s Teen Mom co-stars, Maci Bookout with her boyfriend Taylor McKinney, and Amber Portwood with her fiancé Matt Baier, also attended the wedding. Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry and her husband, Javi Marroquin, were also on hand for the occasion.
Since viewers have been following Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Balterria’s story from the time they were teenagers, it’s hard to believe the duo is now 23-years-old. Tyler had beautiful words to say about his wife, which he shared with Us Weekly.
“I believe Cate was brought into this world and destined to be loved by me, cherished by me, admired by me, and forever cared for by me. There is no one else I would rather be than her husband and the father of her children…. I’m so honored and blessed to be able to grow old with her.”
Equally excited to marry the love of her life, Catelynn said, “I always prayed one day that Ty would be my husband, and I am beyond blessed that my prayers came true.”
Catelynn Lowell and Balterria began dating when they were in seventh grade, and Catelynn wrote a beautiful and heartfelt message to her new husband a few weeks ago on Instagram before their wedding.

My life would be so dull without you in it… I love you with every ounce of me! Hailing from Michigan, Catelynn and Tyler were featured on the first season of MTV’s 16 & Pregnant when they struggled with the decision of whether to place their firstborn daughter Carly for adoption. The couple found adoptive parents in Teresa and Brandon and gave their blessing to the couple to adopt Carly.
Lowell and Balterria went on to star in the 16 & Pregnant spin-off series, Teen Mom, and appeared on Season 3 of Couples Therapy and in the catch-up special, Being Catelynn. Tyler proposed to Catelynn Lowell again during the TV special. The couple had called off their wedding two years ago.
