Duggar Family: Josh Duggar Cheated On Anna With Danica Dillon, Is Divorce An Option?
Following the cancellation of The 19 Kids and Counting TV show, the Duggar family has other Christians in quite the uproar ever since it was revealed that Josh Duggar cheated on his wife, Anna Duggar, using the Ashley Madison cheating service. But some claims it is possible Josh was using the service to meet up with a porn star going by the name of Danica Dillon.
In a related report by the Inquisitr, Josh Duggar’s hidden Facebook account had the porn star’s name listed as one of his likes. A Duggar family report from the Hollywood Gossip connected the dots between the adultery website Ashley Madison and Danica Dillon, making the allegation clear. Josh has yet to deny these allegations, and as for the porn star, she has only said, “That’s my face. And my name.” On Twitter, Dillon also retweeted an article from People magazine which noted that Josh edited his public apology letter twice.
In that letter, the Duggar family spoke up about the recent media stories concerning Josh Duggar’s porn addiction. Josh also denounced his behavior.
“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have been unfaithful to my wife,” Josh wrote in the most recent version. “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him. I have brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions.”
This was written before the allegations about Danica Dillon and has not been updated to reflect the new rumors.
Josh Duggar’s job once had him working for the Christian organization Family Research Council. Speaking about the Duggar family scandal, FRC President Tony Perkins said in a statement that Josh has hurt everyone close to him, not just the Duggar family.
“His deceitful behavior harms his family, his friends, his former coworkers, and the cause he has publicly espoused,” Perkins said. “Those of us who advocate for family values in the public square are held to a higher standard, and Josh’s failures serve as a painful reminder of the destructive effects of not living with integrity. We are praying for the family.”
Based upon these allegations surrounding the Duggar family, some seem to assume Anna Duggar’s divorce from Josh is right around the corner. The couple have four children, but she has not left him, and sources tell People that divorce is off the table.
“Anna will not leave him,” the source said. “As with her in-laws, she is turning more to her faith than ever. She and Josh are probably praying around the clock right now, I would assume.”
The reason that divorce is not an option for the Duggar family is because they believe in the Biblical concept of the covenant marriage. In short, a covenant is intended to be an unbreakable oath or bond that goes way beyond a marriage contract. But Jesus himself did allow for one exception which pertains to the Duggar family scandal.
“Jesus replied, ‘Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.’ – Matthew 19:8-9”
