‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ Star Brooks Ayers Faking Cancer — Meghan King Edmonds Weighs In
Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has been filled with plenty of drama, but one of the biggest points of contentions has surrounded Vicki Gunvalson’s ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers and his battle with cancer. Although some of the women on the show have expressed their support for Ayers, others have been a little more skeptical and have even considered the idea that he doesn’t have cancer.
In particular, Meghan King Edmonds has been one of the more outspoken ladies on the show when it comes to Ayers allegedly faking his cancer diagnosis. In fact, in a recent episode, a psychic told the cast that Ayers hadn’t been diagnosed with cancer.
“I’m the one who says what the psychic said and there’s a lot of fallout from that,” Edmonds recently told E! Online. “I’ve been waiting for this episode since we wrapped filming. I think there’s going to be a lot of strong opinions both ways.”
The psychic’s insight comes after Ayers decided to put his chemotherapy on hold as he explores other options, including a different antioxidant treatment. His decision to stop therapy, coupled with the psychic’s reading, only adds to Edmond’s notion that he doesn’t have cancer.
“I have my own suspicions and therefore somewhat of a conclusion,” Edmonds went on to reveal. “At the same time, I’ve been really affected by cancer and that’s why I think I feel so strongly about this because I see how cancer can rock everyone’s world. Not just close relatives, but everybody.”
With the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special just around the corner, Edmonds added that she is not worried about her views and how her co-stars may react to her beliefs about the whole Ayers situation.
“I feel confident that I can own anything that comes out of my mouth,” she explained in the interview. “I’m happy to apologize and learn from my mistakes but at the same time, I’m not going to defend something if I think I’m wrong. If I do think I’m right, I’m happy to defend myself.”
Edmond’s added that the only thing that is off limits is her family.
“We have such a non-traditional relationship and I don’t expect many people to relate to that. You can attack me and my marriage all you want, but when you attack my kids, it’s war.”
