Salma Hayek Shows Off Bikini Body While Swimming In The Rain

Actress Salma Hayek showed off her bikini body in a pool picture on her official Instagram page Friday.

The 48-year-old mother appeared to be refreshed and relaxed in the photo as she swam on her back in the rain.

“Swimming in the rain!”

During a June interview with People magazine, the Everly actress opened up about her fitness regimen — namely, the fact that she doesn’t have one.

“Some people have the discipline to exercise in the morning, and I didn’t develop that. I don’t have time to exercise. I am working. I’ve had some 20-hour days.”

For more than two decades, Salma Hayek has built an extensive resume of impressive film roles — most of which required her to be in great shape.

The fact that she does not work out or stick to a rigorous fitness regimen might puzzle some of her biggest fans and critics alike. However, Hayek further explained that she has taken an alternative approach to keeping her body tight and toned.

Instead of spending countless hours in the gym, Salma Hayek claims that restorative yoga has worked very well for her — especially since it apparently has nothing to do with exercises and workouts.

“I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long. So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles… It’s restorative yoga. She taught me to tone [my muscles] without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you’re aware of your body, you’d be surprised by the effect it can have.”

Salma Hayek opened up about beauty in a May interview with New York magazine — including how her perception of beauty has changed throughout her career.

“When I started my career, I saw beauty more as a goal. Now I just see beauty as part of life — of everyday life. When I was younger I was always trying to figure out, Oh my god, what would look good on me? Is this my best or should I be like that? What hair color I should have? But it’s more about finding your identity. As you get older, if you’re lucky, you can pay attention to life. You sort of settle, you’re more comfortable, and you understand much better who you are.”

Salma Hayek became engaged to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault in March of 2007 and gave birth to Valentina Paloma Pinault the same year. The couple became husband and wife in Paris on Valentine’s Day of 2009, according to Le Point.
