‘Big Brother 17’ Spoilers: Returning Jury Member Confirmed, New ‘BB17’ HOH Gets Flakey

Big Brother 17 spoilers from Thursday night (August 20) will shape the game in Week 9. This batch of Big Brother 17 spoilers are led by the confirmation by show host Julie Chen that a jury member will definitely be re-entering the BB17 house. A report from fan site Big Brother Network relays the information that one of the first four jury members will get a chance to return to the game on August 28. So far, the jury consists of Shelli Poole, Jackie Ibarra, and Becky Burgess. That number will increase by one at the next eviction ceremony.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the winner of the late endurance challenge (on the live feeds) from August 20 was Austin Matelson. He outlasted the other houseguests and took back power in the BB17 house. It was a HOH that he might not have needed, though, and promises he made to every houseguest last week could come back to haunt him later. There is no exaggeration in that statement either, as he went around making deals with all seven of the remaining competitors.

What isn’t revealed in these latest Big Brother 17 spoilers is an exact target for Austin Matelson, Liz Nolan, and Julia Nolan to make. He has talked up going after Vanessa Rousso this week, but he is already backing away from those statements. It only took a few hours as the new HOH for Austin to start getting nervous about putting her on the block. Austin likely won’t decide soon, as he can nominate John McGuire and Steve Moses, with a potential plan of using the “backdoor” on Vanessa later.

Whoever that next evicted houseguest becomes, they are slated to compete against the three people already in the jury for a chance at returning to the game. There are a number of interesting scenarios where someone like Jackie Ibarra gets a second chance at the game, but talking just from a game standpoint, it would seem Shelli Poole actually deserves a second chance the most. She was a great player in the game, even if she didn’t seek out big moves as some BB17 fans had been hoping this season. Getting another shot at Vanessa Rousso could make for interesting live feed footage.

The Week 9 nominations will come out for CBS viewers on the Sunday episode (August 23), but everyone is already looking forward to next Thursday and a jury member re-entering the BB17 house. Up until Sunday, there could be a lot of fresh Big Brother 17 spoilers, especially if Austin Matelson decides to finally make a big move of his own this season. Will he live up to his word and send Vanessa Rousso packing this week?
