CD Projekt RED, the developers behind the popular The Witcher franchise, are apparently staffing up for a new RPG–but it doesn’t appear to be The Witcher 3 .
Instead, CD Projekt RED’s new RPG project will apparently be based on an all-new IP, according to the latest blog post on the developer’s website (via Joystiq ). The post calls for fresh developers to work on an RPG “in a brand new setting.”
“We’re looking for people who would rather work on an entirely new and different IP – a vast RPG for which we want to assemble the best possible staff,” the post reads. “It represents an opportunity for you to create a grand new project from the ground up!”
CD Projekt RED didn’t provide specifics on what the project is, of course, but they were at least willing to drop a few hints. Well, sort of. The developer referenced The Witcher 2 ‘s dark fantasy setting in the post, adding at the end:
“..though if you can’t stomach dwarves, elves or sorceresses who put their ample charms on display in Playboy magazine, we’ve got also something special that might be right up your alley!”
If you’re an artist, programmer or a designer who happens to live in Poland (or at least wouldn’t mind moving there), you can check out the link above for information on how to apply.
What sort of RPG would you like to see CD Projekt RED work on? One in a medieval setting, or maybe even one that takes place in or around present day?
