‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’ Star Vicki Gunvalson Became A ‘Different Person’ While Dating Brooks Ayers
In a surprising turn of events, Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson recently announced her breakup with boyfriend Brooks Ayers. Following the release of the news, Ayers has apparently expressed his disapproval of his former girlfriend of four years with friends in Mississippi.
With that in mind, an inside source recently told Radar Online that the reality show changed Gunvalson to the point that she became a completely different person.
“Brooks felt that Vicki really became a totally different person that she was when they started,” the source revealed. “He said that everything about her has changed, and not in a good way.”
The source went on to add that Ayers, who was involved in a bit of controversy of his own on the show after his diagnosis with cancer, believes that fame and fortune have also had a negative influence on Gunvalson.
“She was not famous and now she is,” the insider stated. “Brooks was always attracted to Vicki’s ability to make money, but when she made her fortune it had a huge impact on the person that she became.”
Despite these statements from multiple sources, it should be noted that a representative of Gunvalson stated that the claims are inaccurate.
“None of this is true,” the rep stated. “Brooks adores Vicki and only wants the best for her. He called the four years [they were] together the best years of his life.”
Meanwhile, if some are worried that the breakup might mean that Gunvalson will have to share some of the fortune she’s managed to accumulate over the years, that won’t be the case. According to Ok! Magazine, upon entering into their relationship, Gunvalson had Ayers sign a sort of agreement.
“Vicki and Brooks have a renter’s agreement that was simply an agreement that said any rent paid by Brooks did not count as equity on Vicki’s house,” the source explained to the outlet. “It was only a contract that they had with each other and Vicki continues to own the house completely. It was just a simple renter’s agreement… nothing more, nothing less.”
In regards to the status of the breakup, the Real Housewives of Orange County star did manage to post to her Facebook page that the split with Ayers was “amicable.”
At the same time, another insider stated that as Ayers has moved back to Mississippi, he “has taken his belongings with him,” adding that “Brooks’ main priority right now has to be his recovery and beating cancer.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County was filmed months ago, so Vicki and Brooks will still be seen together for the remainder of the season.
