Jenelle Evans Arrested: ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Allegedly Attacked Ex-Fiancé Nathan Griffith’s New Girlfriend
Jenelle Evans has been arrested. The Teen Mom 2 star allegedly attacked his ex-fiancé’s girlfriend.
Police have arrested 23-year-old Jenelle Evans for allegedly assaulting Nathan Griffith’s girlfriend. Evans and Griffith’s relationship, which somehow managed to gain the engagement status, was dissolved a few months ago, and it seems while Griffith has moved forward, Evans hasn’t.
Griffith and his new girlfriend were reportedly at Evans’ house in the afternoon, apparently to retrieve some of his belongings. The house was, till recently, used as a joint residence by the former couple, reported U.S. Weekly. Though it is unclear what exactly transpired between the trio; Jenelle Evans apparently threw a drinking glass at the other female causing bodily harm, noted the statement,
“She was assaulted by her boyfriend’s ex, who threw a drinking glass at her head, causing injury.”
Incidentally, Gossip Cop reports that the reality-TV star was moving and had herself invited her ex over to collect his belongings from her current residence. Though it is still to be established, Nathan brought along his new girlfriend in an attempt “to provoke” Jenelle. Evans’ representative even went on to say,
“When you get provoked, you attack back.”
When the cops knocked on the door, everything had settled down, but they arrested Jenelle Evans and ferried her to the local police station, where she was booked for third-degree assault.
Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith had an on-off relationship going on for quite some time, and the duo ended their engagement for a second time recently. Interestingly, the couple had spilt once before in March after they were involved in a bitter spat that eventually got the cops involved. However, they united once again in June, only to separate a little while later.
Incidentally, Evans had been arrested as early as in May, when police had charged her with domestic violence after she had allegedly attacked Griffith at his house. In her defense, Evans had said that Griffith had tried to run her over. In retaliation, Evans is believed to have thrashed his car and later launch a vicious attack on Nathan which involved hitting and scratching him, before attempting to kick him down the stairs.
Though the domestic violence charges were later dropped, the duo had apparently entered into a heated argument over their son, Kaiser, which had resulted in the altercation and arrest. She has been arrested in February as well, for driving without a license.
While posting bail under such circumstances is common, TMZ reports Jenelle Evans is still in custody. Interestingly Nathan too, was arrested recently.
