‘I Have Been The Biggest Hypocrite Ever’: Josh Duggar Admits To Ashley Madison Account, Porn Addiction

Josh Duggar made a public statement regarding the allegations that he owned two separate Ashley Madison accounts. The Duggar son admitted that he was seeking an affair and also came clean about his porn addiction. Josh Duggar claims that he has “been the biggest hypocrite ever” by allowing “Satan to build a fortress” inside of him that no one knew about. He says that he was unfaithful to his wife and is asking for her forgiveness as he battles the pornography addictions that have been consuming his life over the years.

The oldest Duggar son, Josh, made the startling admissions on Michelle Duggar’s official blog. Josh notes that he has been a hypocrite and is asking for forgiveness during this difficult time. In his public statement, the Duggar son says that he has been unfaithful to his loving wife and that he has been addicted to internet pornography for some time.

“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.”

Josh Duggar goes on to say that his family, friends, and loved ones have shown him unconditional support and love despite his actions as a teen regarding the molestation of a few young women including his sisters. Josh says that he realizes he has now “re-broken” that trust.

“I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.”

The pornography addiction admission comes after it was disclosed that Josh Duggar maintained two secret Ashley Madison accounts that he used to secure extramarital affairs. Josh goes on to ask for friends, family, and fans to pray for his wife, Anna, during this difficult time, and asks for forgiveness for those who have shown support over the years.

“The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, in my heart I had allowed Satan to build a fortress that no one knew about. As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.”

Josh notes in his statement that no one knew about his pornography addiction — therefore, it is likely that Anna Duggar is just now finding out about her husband’s actions. Jim Bob and Michelle began the post by noting that their hearts were broken when they heard the news that Josh was included in the Ashley Madison database leak. They ask that everyone continue to pray for Josh, Anna, and all their grandchildren.
