Watch UFO Approach And Fly Past International Space Station In Plain Sight [Video]

The International Space Station in low Earth orbit had a close encounter with a UFO on August 19, 2015, according to UFO enthusiasts. The YouTube UFO hunter Streetcap1 reports that the footage below — a recent excerpt from NASA’s Live ISS Stream — shows a UFO approaching the ISS. The UFO approaches, flies past the ISS, and eventually disappears into the inky darkness of space.

Streetcap1 writes in the video description that he is uncertain about the nature of the object seen approaching the ISS. But he comments that only a satellite that had strayed from its path would approach the ISS so closely and pose grave danger to it.

“I have not a clue what this is. If it’s a Satellite, then surely it is way off course and ISS Radar hasn’t seen it yet. An object this close to the station would surely prompt collisions alert.”

Some YouTube users suggested it could be a Japanese cargo ship approaching to dock with the ISS.

According to NASA, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) launched the “Kounotori 5” H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV-5) from the Tanegeshima Space Center at 7:50 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, August 19.

But some UFO hunters pointed out that the UFO observed approaching the ISS could not be the Japanese HTV-5 cargo spacecraft because it couldn’t have reached the ISS at the time the footage was taken.

NASA explained on its website that it would take five days from August 19 for the spacecraft to reach the ISS, which was flying over the Atlantic Ocean east of Brazil at the time.

Streetcap1 reports that he recorded the live footage on August 19.

UFO Sightings Daily editor Scott Waring draws attention to what appears to be a structure sticking out from the UFO. He recalls that NASA astronaut and second man on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, reported that the crew of the Apollo 11 mission saw a similar “L-shaped” UFO on their way to the moon.

Recalling his experience during a recent “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit, Aldrin said he and his mates saw a UFO that appeared beside their spacecraft. The UFO escorted the Apollo 11 mision craft part of the way to the moon, according to Aldrin.

“I observed a light out the window that appeared to be moving alongside us.”

But Aldrin was unwilling to commit to the suggestion that the UFO was of extraterrestrial origin, saying there could be other valid explanations.

But many UFO enthusiasts believe that Aldrin saw an extraterrestrial craft and have accused NASA of trying to avoid admitting that aliens observed the Apollo 11 mission.
